To celebrate the Grand Opening of Inspiration Cove, we are holding the Inspiration Cove Art Festival from July 5th through 10th. We are pleased to present the work of several extremely talented artists, and the festival will feature a variety of painting and photography, and an incredible interactive art exhibition that you simply must experience. It is really worth coming to see these incredible exhibits. Our featured artists include:
Davin Romano - http://www.curiousculture.com - RL Artist Shikatoi from Los Angeles, a bastard of a man with a camera and a fast trigger finger in photoshop, manipulating photomontages like they were angry ex-lovers. A splash of color on screen hardly describes his style, but it's one thing fans have mentioned.
Kesja Plecha - http://www.white-gloves.net - Vocalist, musician, macro photographer. Dreams about doing research in bioinformatics. Inspired by math, structures, repeatability.
Kat Claxton - http://www.slcoyote.com - Kat Claxton was born and raised in the damp of the Pacific Northwest, and much of her photography has a heavy emphasis on life in the Seattle / Tacoma region of Washington state. Although she considers herself an amateur photographer, in real life her photography has been featured in real estate guides and on independent web sites.
Zak Claxton - http://www.zakclaxton.com - Zak Claxton's canvas of choice is the computer, and all of his works are created digitally using a variety of software tools. When Zak combines his heart and soul with his graphic design expertise, the result is a very interesting and moving collection of colors and patterns that usually contain the inkling of a story. When Zak isn't practicing his artistic wizardry with computer graphics, he is a Los Angeles-based songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist whose self-titled debut album is in the midst of being created. Zak is not only displaying his artwork for the art festival, but he will also be taking the stage on the lagoon for a performance Sunday July 6th from 3:00 - 4:00 SL time. Be sure to catch his show!
Eden Cale - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Rakhiot/149/217/98 - Digital artist - all works originally created using a light pen and a graphics tablet.
Webster Payne - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Marmalade/196/30/67 - I love watching an image appear on a piece of water color paper. It is relaxing and thrilling to see in wet paint some aspect of a person begin to suggest itself. Sometimes I wonder where the painting comes from, whether it is some repressed emotion, something closer to divine inspiration or simply a happy mistake. I dont know or really care as long as I have fun painting it. I began sketching faces years ago, and began painting on a whim. Pretty soon I was checking out books about watercolor techniques and trying new things. I have gotten a little more serious about it, but ultimately for me it is about playing, representing things and people I see and feel with shades of yellow and red, maybe some thioindigoviolet or lapis lazuli.
zephyru Zapedski - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Portugal%20Lisboa/136/13/27 - Real life Painter from Portugal, mostly oils on canvas but also SL Photography, SL Sculptures and Installation Art. Realism, Surrealism, Symbolism, Esoterism, Nudes, Portraits, Landscapes, all with Poetical load. Oils on canvas for SL and RL.
Cate Infinity - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Sanibel%20Island/21/148/29 - Born and raised in New York City. She's been fascinated with photography since she was young but ended up getting a college degree in film instead. Her photography does not require a lot of editing. She takes advantage of great lighting, texture and background in SL and RL. Her photography have different styles and emotions because she likes to analyze, create and evolve. Collaboration with other creative minds is her personal satisfaction. Her photography has no limits. She is the owner of Infinite Art Gallery and Infinite Art and Film School. Also she co-owns SNAPPERZ PHOTO STUDIO with her photographer boyfriend, Gerry Sewell.
Jonathan Kazan - http://jonathankazan.blogspot.com/ - I create sculptures and installations, which, I believe, offers an excellent way to experiment and express myself through my art. My work is scripted which affords me the opportunity to push the boundaries by including an animated/interactive "level" with my pieces. In real life I have a degree in molecular biology, and my art is somewhat stimulated by biology. I am also inspired by fractals and sometime use those as a part of my textures.
Come to Inspiration Cove and see what inspires you!
