Live Musicians Wanted!!!
Are you a live musician in need of a home? Do you have a home but want more of what everyone could use -- more exposure, more bookings? Well, the Rhythm & Rhyme Lounge is looking for you! The call was put out and a lot of musicians replied ....now the management of the lounge is giving each and every musician the opportunity to showcase their craft!
Who can enter?
Poets, Spoken Word Artists, Musicians, Singers, Rappers, Hip Hop Artists, Instrumentalists, etc.
By entering this contest you provide yourself with an opportunity to make your artistic creativity known to all -- and isn't that just what the lounge promotes? Interested? Read the rules (PLEASE READ THE RULES IN ITS ENTIRETY!!):
EVERYBODY WINS!!!!
1. Submissions will be accepted from Sunday, August 9, 2009 to Saturday, August 29, 2009 SLT.
2. Contest will be held from Sunday, August 31, 2009 until Wednesday, September 30, 2009.
3. Submit a photo of yourself or your band to Jewel Reyes with full permissions.
4. Contestants may withdraw from the contest at any time, however, no refunds will be issued.
5. Please rename your texture YOUR NAME/R&R CONTEST.
6. Fill out R&R Timeslots and return to Jewel Reyes.
No harrassing, threatening, or any other heathen-like negative behavior will be tolerated...so be a good sport during this contest.
This contest will be held in 2 parts.
Part 1: Contestants will be placed at Millennium Mall & Entertainment Complex (location to be disclosed). Contestants will have the ability to have the SL public vote daily on their work. Promotions opportunity! There is a fee of 150L that covers a landmark, and notecard of the contestant's choice to be placed in their board for anyone to click on and take. May the most creative, lucky, and/or most diligent person win!
Part 2: Contestants must perform at the Rhythm & Rhyme Lounge and/or Millennium Entertainment Complex at least twice for a minimum of 30 minutes each time while the contest is running. This affords contestants the opportunity to get more votes. Contestants have a choice between playing for split tips (80/20 split) or directing their audience and fans to tip directly to their board. They must inform Jewel Reyes of their decision prior to performing.
This contest will be held as the traditional photo contest where the contestant with the most votes and Ls is the winner.

1st Place: 75% of winnings
2nd Place: 50% of winnings
3rd Place & after: 25% of winnings
Winners will receive an invitation to play weekly at the Rhythm & Rhyme Lounge and/or Millennium Mall & Entertainment Complex.
