This idea was sort of taken from Elika of ETD. (yes, I talked to Elika and asked permission to use this idea before I went ahead and started it) I wanted to help out new designers by featuring their items in my mall. It isn’t as big and fancy as Elika’s free shop but I’ve gotten IMs saying that it has greatly helped people spread the word about their shops, and that’s all I was hoping for, to help someone promote their shop.
Every 30 days a new shop is chosen to be featured. I only choose newish shops, places that are small or just starting out. Here’s the info:
~~~Only designers making their own creations can apply for the Free Space, NO resellers or business in a box type items will be considered~~~
Details:
Location: The entry point at Bound Rose Plaza.
The space: It’s fairly small but getting seen is the point here. You can use 15 prims for your items. Items must be poster (box) style. No vendors or scripts of any kind. Make sure you include LMs to your shop so people can see your full range of items. When chosen I will need a full perm texture for your shop sign and I will give you a note with further details.
Rotation: Every 30 days a new shop will be choosen. If I don’t recieve any applications then the current shop will stay for an additional 30 days if they like.
Your Products: I’m pretty open minded out this one. Pretty much anything can be submitted for consideration. Yes, I make hair and shoes, etc, but if you also make hair and shoes I’m not going to hold it against you.
How to Apply:
**Create a Folder named ‘*WR* Free shop - (your name)’, Include in the folder the following:
1. A note card with a bit of info about you and your business.
-Shop/Brand name
-When you started your shop
-Style of your creations i.e. Goth, Punk, Casual, Formal, etc.
-What type of items you create, i.e. clothing, furniture, shoes, etc.
2. A landmark to your shop, mall space, or where ever you currently have your items for sale. If you don’t currently have a shop that ok too.
3. At least 5 textures of your current items. More is ok, but 5 is the minimum. I want to get a good feel for your shop/brand and make sure your serious about creating.
4. A sample of your product. I’d like to be able to look it over closely & check out the details. If you want the item back please make sure its set to transfer and let me know you want the item returned.
***DO NOT SEND EVERYTHING SEPARATELY***
I want everything in a nice neat folder so I can find it. I don’t want a mess in my inventory. Anything but folders will be declined/deleted.
The chosen shop will be featured in my blog each month both on the Free Shop page and in a blog post.
