The Waking Dream Cafe has moved to a new sim!! And to celebrate we're having some live music, a beach party and a contest worth $2000 lindens!!
The day opens with 3 great live musicians
2pm we welcome Quinton Whitman to the Cafe stage. Q's performances stimulate your senses, awaken your mind, and enrich your soul...his deep melodious voice and awesome guitar (acoustic & electric) playing combine as he performs a mixture of music genres from rock, to ballads, to traditional folk songs.
3pm we bring you Shannon Oherlihy. She has been singing since she was a little girl, when she sang into her hairbrush along with Carly Simon records. When she was nine, she got her first guitar, and started writing her own songs at the age of ten. Inspired by the music of John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins and Bob Dylan, Shannon found her musical roots in contemporary folk.
4pm - Rockpianoman Pienaar will take the stage. RockPianoman has been playing music live since the early 80's. His song list is thousands of songs and his favorite group is the Beatles, but some of his other favorites are: The Eagles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Chicago, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Foreigner, Styx, Neil Diamond, John Denver, Electric Light Orchestra, Bread, The Alan Parsons Project, America, Barry Manilow, Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Jim Croce, and too many others to list here.
At 5 we take a break as the staff heads to the new beach area of the Cafe grounds, and gets ready for the main event!!
BEACH PARTY!!!! 6pm - 8pm!!
Starting with DJ Holiday playing some tunes to get you dancing, and followed by Jon Enimo who will be playing a live collection of Original, Traditional and random oddities.
For the Duration of the beach party we will be running a $2000 linden Beach Wear Contest. All you have to do is be there and see if people vote for you as the best dressed for the beach!!! The tip 3 winners will split the $2000 prize!!!!
