BTCM is a comprehensive Roleplay System which allows for Mech Warriors to pilot the Mech of thier choice in full combat situations, either as a solo pilot or in a player made clan. Additionally there is a sim which also has a combat system for the pilots to enrich thier characters background story and history. There are several classes available to the pilots, as well as armor, weapon and accessory choices.
This is the first multi comprehensive set of sims which are dedicated and built exclusively for both the pilots and the mechs. So whether you are a Roleplayer at heart, or a cold metal machine, we got you covered.
MECHS: There are over 2 dozen mechs in different styles. You might recognise some mechs inspired by Mech Warriors, Battle Tech, Steel Battalion, and some purely from imagionation. Additionally pairing up your mech with dozens of different weapons will give your mech different effectivenesses for damage dealing, sniping, mobility or specializations.
CLANS: The clans are player run and administered. There are over a dozen clans currently which battle for supremecy in the galaxy. The clans battle for planets, ally, and backstab each other in battle every Wednesday (5pm SLT) and Saturday (3pm SLT)
ROLEPLAY: Creating a rich background and history for your character with other characters is the name of the game here. Roleplay can start or end with combat or not include it at all. Your story is as brief or long as you want it to be, and is only limited by the imagination and time you put into it. The sim dedicated to this is built in a sci fi and futuristic era, as well as all the weapons and armor which give you extra abilities or strengths.
---------------------------------------
Currently the BTCM universe extends over two SIMs with more on the way. The first (Double X) is a full combat simulator that is specific to Mechs/Mech Combat. There are no human avatars. The second of the SIMs (DE) has been beautifully created for human avatars. While the two worlds work together, they are NOT mutually exclusive. A person can focus strictly on full combat or can be choose not to and simply roleplay.
The full combat SIM is up and running with an exciting update which will enhance player experience 10 fold on the horizon. Both SIMs use a uniquely scripted system that is universal, meaning there is annoying swapping of meters. And, much like our favorite MMOs and FPSs - there is a comprehensive skill and leveling system that actually react to what you use most instead of simple point distribution.
I'll keep you updated on the project as we prepare for a full launch next week.
