With the just announced Linden Home program, the Lindens are once again competing with their own customers who have inworld businesses selling and renting land and prefabs. This time the grab is even more blatant as LL will offer prebuilt homes and double prims compared to other sims. Their claim that this is to ease the difficult entry into SL isn't merited as plenty of businesses exist to provide even free land and orientation, and if they had normal advertising capacity, newbies would be covered. The move is one of many ambiguous or even deliberately destructive programs designed to eliminage arbitrage with their prouct, instead of encouraging partners. As a governance model, it's yet another accident going somewhere to happen with amplitude for griefing. Come discuss at weekly meeting!
