AICR's BIG Blast Event!!!

What Is The Big Blast?

The AICR Big Blast, is an event to help raise money towards cancer research. The charity behind the Big Blast is the Association for International Cancer Research (AICR), AICR have been in Secondlife since 2007 and have held a lot of in-world events. These fun events have helped raise more than $13000USD, and in the process all participants have had fun.

AICR also have their very own sim! On this sim there are villas to rent, a fashion show area, cancer information area, shops and their very own club. All money from the villa rentals and shops etc. all help towards funding cancer research. A lot of users have praised AICR on the level of detail found at the cancer information area, located on the island. What's happening at this event?

The event starts on the 27th of February 2009, and continues till the end of March. The first two days of this event (27th and 28th Feb) contain the following attractions with different auction candidates and singers and DJs each night:

Win A Date Auction (10 auction candidates each night (27th and 28th)) : This event has been very successful for AICR, managing to raise a large amount of money. The candidates and participants enjoy the interaction and know that they are helping a charity in the process. This is not a sex or slave auction, its an auction to win a one hour date (pleasure or business) with a user. Some users who won a candidate, are still together to this very day.

Popular Second Life Singer : A popular Secondlife singer will be performing for one hour, to entertain the users at this event and help to try and raise more donations for AICR.

Secondlife DJ : A specially selected DJ will perform again for one hour or a little more, to entertain the users at this event and help to try and raise more donations for AICR.

Photographers : Want your photo taken by an SL photographer? If the answer is yes then this is your lucky day. 100% percentage from each photo taken will go to AICR, and you will get a very professional photo in the process.

Carnival Rides : There will be a selected amount of carnival rides, to ride on and have fun.

Please note that the above list, will be repeated with a new DJ, new Singer and 10 new candidates on the 28th..which means another night of fun for you.

AND THERES MORE!!!!!!

Then 24 days in March will have one club a night, hold a small DJ or Singing event where users from around Secondlife will be introduced to AICR, a new singer/DJ and a new club that they might not have seen yet. Users will enjoy the selected performer at this club and have the chance to donate to AICR.
