The New Search: Help or Horror?

The new Search function has some whalloping surprises in it for some -- things they didn't intend to show up for sale are now in a global search.

People who have *merited traffic* i.e. not gamed or camped, are finding that all their hard work to achieve this without gimmicks is being undone by the new search -- where classified ads are mixed in with the returns on keywords *regardless of what is paid*.

The lucky 8 residents who paid the very highest classifieds now have a supreme piece of eyeball-catching real estate: the default front of the search function itself, and then again, on any key word, the top 8 spots. Everyone else can go fish.

Objects for sale show up -- but if your objects for sale are in a *vendor* you are SOL and will have to think up prim-costly and money-costing workarouns.

More objects are findable -- and that means some lucky folks will get better sales. Others are going to find themselves totally passed by and ground under, by yet another change to the world in which people in it could not participate meaningfully.

Come discuss this at the regular Friday night debates on Land and the Economy.
