First off - I've been kind of quiet lately, because the last two sims filled solid instantly from the waiting list, and it looks like the next will do exactly the same.
Much of the pent-up demand was due to two things. One, my utter insistence upon waiting for some forest trees for our forest sim Caledon Tanglewood, from the beyond-incredible Lilith and Dolly Heart, and structures from Jess Patton. The wait was worth it.
Second, the incredible prep-time of Caledon Steam SkyCity, a project months in the making by a team of seven, and due to open to all Monday or Tuesday, fates willing.
With this region, we passed our millionth square meter mark - an achievement of hundreds of people all sharing a wonderful dream in good spirit and good cheer - the land being a mere symptom of the greater achievement of the community.

If you are on the Caledon waiting list, don't despair, I'm doing my best to clear the list down to something reasonable.
Next sim up is Kittiwickshire; about 2/3 forest and 1/3 the old Sea Town of Kittiwick, and this will prebook immediately after the Skycity's citizens are ushered in (and I take a deep breath before starting again).
The sim's available architecture will be custom-designed via commission from the incomparable Kendra Bancroft, whose reputation with quaint sea towns is already made. Residents will be able to pick and choose from her new originals should they not be able to create what they desire on their own.
So as you can see, I'm slowly coming around to meeting demand, which means more sims.
Six month projections bring us from the 16 sims of today, to about 23 sims by 2008 provided your interest is maintained and served of course.
Here's what the future is shaping up to look like:
Kittiwickshire. Sea town nestled against ancient Caledon Forest (prolly will be booked solid by the waiting list, but hey, worth a mention)
Greystoke. Ancestral lands of the Earl himself (he's on extended leave it seems). Likely to be one of the most posh locations on the grid; quiet high prim estates nestled among winding lanes and great trees.
Eyre. Forest blending to country estates in rolling verdant hills and a very tiny town, the perfect backdrop to your novelworthy Second Life.
Beyond these... more magic.

Warm regards,
Des
