WHY IS THE RENT FREE?
- Gametropolis is offering free shops to serious content creators who have the basic philosophy that those that create together and work together can make something magnificent and are also willing to post at least 2 events a week on the events page of second life website.
HOW TO POST A EVENT:
Examples of types of events are you are having a sale, you are giving away something free to get people to your store, you created a new product, etc.
To post a event
- you must post your event on the website at least 24 hours ahead of time so it shows up on the map.
- go to www.secondlife.com and log into your account.
- go back to the main page of website and scroll to bottom of page to Community and click on Events
- pick the day you want the event to be from the calendar on top right side and click on the day
- click on Add Event in center of page
- click on I Agree at the bottom of page
- the event page will come up next
event name - what kind of event your having a sale/giving away something
description- description of your event
date
start at time
duration- pick how long you want event to last
category- commercial
cover charge-no
location- scroll through the list of places and find your store name should look like this My Store in Optiman(200,22)
mature event- if you sell mature not adult items then click on the box
then click on Save Event
GAMETROPOLIS VENDOR:
When you have picked the spot you would like and agreed to the terms and conditions, pay the rental box L1$ to reserve the space in your name. Please IM Ray Burdeyna or Aubrey DeSantis for an invite to the Gametropolis Vendor Role in the Gametropolis Entertainment Group. You will not be able to rezz items until you have done that. Also please send us a notecard with the following information when you can- Your store name, a description of what you sell and a full permission texture of your store logo so that we can load them on your land for you so they show up in search.
RULES:
- You must post at least 2 events a week that show up on the map.
- No adult rated items.
- No freebie resellers. Your items will be returned.
- If you are using an affilate shop, please make sure no other store exists that is using it already
- No Constant Running Scripts ( Online Status Indicators, Running Sounds, Talking Objects, Rotating Objects) These items will be returned to help keep lag down on the island.
- No Sharing Space. One merchant per store please.
- No Particles.
- No hovering text because it will interfere with the merchants on either side of you
- Exceeding the prim count allowed (50) will result in removal of your items. You can easily check your prim count by touching your rented box and choosing prim count at anytime and the box will tell you how many prims you have out.
- All items must be kept inside your store.
- Failure to follow these rules will result in your objects being returned.
