Welcome to Ethereal City.
This city was designed to create the place we all look for in SL - a place to call home. A place where we can exercise our darker nature. A place were we can explore who we really are - without limits.
We encourge this to be a place were you simply are - meaning that your SL is what you really want it to be. This is NOT a scripted - rules of engagement - roleplay sim. We do not do the "" and the (( this is really me talking)) nonsense here. Be who your darker side is here. Do not hide behind a "more socially acceptable" version of yourself.
With all that being said - there are some rules. Please read these carefully. We generally have a ZERO TOLERANCE practice with their enforcement.
1.) NO SUPER HEROS. If you really believe your alter ego is batman or superman - then there are other sims built for you. If we catch you dressed like a superhero - then we will simply ban you forever. WE DO suggest that you take off the outfit and have fun.
2.) NO KIDDIE PLAY. We appreciate the darker side of human nature - but lets face it - messing around with a little kid is simply universally wrong. If you want to have an Avatar dressed like little kid - then this is not the place for you. The Ethereal City Second Life age minimum is 16. Run aways are welcome here.
3.) NO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 in RL. A lot of the content in this sim is simply not appropriate for people under the age of 18. We have no way to actually enforce this - but we want this to be known. If you are under 18 and caught - we will ban you from the sim until you are of age.
4.) NO GUN FIRE OR IDIOTS GOING POSTAL. If you show up doing this city officials will ban you forever. IF you have a weapon and want to use it in this city - you must get approval from Jeanette Anatine. License to yeild a weapon is only permitted to those approved. Swords, knives, other weapons of this nature are permitted - but use of these weapons against another must be implied to be "allowed" by the target victum.
5.) MURDER POLICY. You can commit murder here. Your victum MUST imply conscent. Use of firearms in a violent crime is permitted ONLY with a license issued by City Officials. Knives, Swords, clubs, etc are allowed only with conscent from the victum.
6.) VAMPIRE POLICY. Vampires and their deviations are very weclome here. Rules: First and most importantly - do no be a dork about it. Dracula was a good book, and adequate movie - it should be left at that. Show up looking like you walked out of a cheesy costume shop and we will ban you on principle. Second - No unauthorized use of BLOODLINES. If you have the BLOODLINES HUD and wish to use it - See Jeanette Anatine for permission. IF WE EVER CATCH YOU USING BLOODLINES IN A MANNER THAT IS HARASSING - OR TRYING TO TRICK PEOPLE INTO GIVING THEIR SOULS TO YOU WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE CONSEQUENCE - then you will be banned.
7.) NEKKO AND FURRIES. You are welcome here - BUT please keep your shape more human than animal. Tails, Ears, Skin and other minor adjustments are okay. We want this city to be as real as possible - so try and keep it real.
8.) DOM/SUB/MASTER/SLAVE. You are very welcome here. Just remember that this is NOT a GOREAN Sim. Gorean practices are respected, known and welcomed - but do not expect others to conform to Gorean beliefs here.
9.) NO CAGING, ORBITING, GRIEFING, OR BEING A DUMBASS. This rule is self explanatory - causing issues and being a general dipshit will result in a ban.
10.) POLICE OFFICERS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Feel like being a bad ass cop? Do it somewhere else. Impersonating an Ethereal City Official will get you banned.
11.) AVATARS OF A NON HUMAN FORM ARE FORBIDDEN. This is a real city. No use for non-human Avatars. You must be MOSTLY HUMAN in this city. Furries - See Rule 7.
12.) NO INVASION OF PRIVATE LIVING AREAS. In this city there are apartments for rent. Trespassing in a rented apartment that does not belong to you is forbidden. For information on renting or living in Ethereal please see the Lobbies of the appartment buildings.
13.) TIPPING IS PERMITTED THROUGH USE OF ETHEREAL CITY TIP JARS ONLY. DIRECT EXCHANGE OF FUNDS FOR DANCES IS NOT ALLOWED.
14.) ETHEREAL CITY MANGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THESE RULES AT ANY TIME - OR TO RESTRICT ACCESS TO THIS CITY WITH OR WITHOUT CAUSE. Look here is the deal.... we do not want to ban anyone. But if we do its our perogative. This city is not a democracy - it is run by Roku Tachikawa. With that being said - we do appreciate feedback and ideas. If you have a good one and we implement it - you will be rewarded. If you really have issue with this last rule - then I suggest making the large investment of both your time and money and open your own private region.
15.) STRIPPER / ESCORT POLICY. Strippers and Escorts are very welcome here in Ethereal City. If you want to strip - please check out a tip Jar in the Strip clubs and accept tips ONLY through the Jar. A very small portion of every tip is contributed to the upkeep of the city. To dance here - simply check out a tip jar. No formal arrangement is necessary. Contact Roku Tachikawa with any questions.
16.) APARTMENT / RENTING POLICY. All apartments / shops are available on a first come first serve basis. The rental boxes for rental locations will allow you to rent apartments or shops when available. We are sorry - but we do not accept reservations or hold rentable locations. Please be sure to keep your rent up to date.
17.) HARASSMENT POLICY. This is a dark sim. You will be propositioned - get used to it. If you are too fragile - then feel free to live in a nice condo on a PG Sim.
