If you have a premium account you can have land rent free from Masala Hot Properties. Simply donate tier to the group so that the owners can cut back on Mainland tier to concentrate on funding a private region(Estate of Mind's Urbana Spes). Then you can have rent free a plot equal to the size of the donation. If at any stage you wish to buy the plot just ask, we generally sell at 6000L$ for 512m2 (11.72L$/m2).
Once upon a time we had much of Serpentata in Old Mainland on offer, but that is now all gone. We still have plots on Nolidae Mountain, including two mountain top and have added an investment in the New Mainland sim of Tarfang. To see the plots join Masala Hot Properties [MHP] (its free) and view the plots via Land&L$.
How it works
1. Join MHP
2. Choose a plot of the same size as the donation you intend to make
3. IM Mercia McMahon (not Jenn Masala) with an LM of the plot.
3.5 The plot will also be taken off the For Sale market for 24 hours while we await your tier donation.
4. Once the donation is received by MHP, Mercia will set the plot to your name and raise you to MHP Resident status, which gives you most land abilities of a land owner, except the ability to sell, join, or subdvide the plot (e.g., you can set access lists, land options, auto-return, name the plot,etc). Note that as soon as you donate land, if you go above a tier barrier you will have to pay that level of Land Use Fees to Linden Lab for that month. MHP will not refund you if you make a mistake or change your mind.
5. The land remains yours while you do not remove your tier donation. There is no way MHP can give a cast iron guarantee not to sell the land, but trust us, while you donate tier we have no costs associated with owning the land, so we have no incentive to sell it.
6. If you remove your tier your status will be reduced to MHP Enquirer (with no powers other than View Notices) and the process will be begun of removing your objects from the land.
7. You do not need to give MHP any notice of removing your tier.
8. A Guide For the Perplexed. You pay nothing to MHP, but you will have to pay more Land Use Fees to Linden Lab if you do not have sufficient allowance at your current Land Tier level.
