Alright I admit it, I usually like to find my own answers (read - hate to ask for directions for the ladies benefit). Let me clarify that my questions only relates to “sim” sized “land” not parcels.
I have searched for a fairly long time to find the answers to a few land, region, estate, Island and sim related questions. There seems to be a great deal of outdated and contradictory information relating to the following questions and I would appreciate answers that are current.
The terms region, estate, Island and sim seem to be used interchangeably in many circumstances yet in others scenarios there seems to be some difference between the terms.
Basic assumptions:
region/Island/estate/sim are all 65536 m^2
Islands currently cost $1650.00 USD setup fee and $295 USD / month
Question 1: Is there a tier fee charged per month in addition to the monthly Island fee? If so I would assume the tier fee to be $195 per month based on sq m resulting in the total monthly cost of $395.00 USD per month.
Question 2: Are there any NEW sim size areas (65536 m^2) available for purchase from LL that are NOT Islands? If so what are they called (region/estate, etc. etc.), how much do they cost (initial setup fees) and do they follow the standard tier charges (hence $195.00 USD per month)?
If there is a Help or FAQ with this information current and clearly outlined, please let me and others who might have the same question know where that information can be found.
