The Unknown Country (TUC) is a group-owned, very loosely managed mature private estate consisting of one full-sim island and five Openspace sims, with an Open Skies and Freedom of the Seas agreement that allows every estate resident to fly or boat in freedom. The estate is loosely based on a Libertarian science fiction theme, which means just about anything from that genre is allowed, as long as you don't annoy anyone too much. Businesses, however, must be unobtrusive and fit in with the landscape, and airborne builds are assigned altitudes between 450 and 750 meters.
Currently there are three full-sim island parcels available to rent.
The first is 8192 sq. m. and occupies a waterfront corner of our full-sim island, with direct access to the Openspace seas. It has 1946 prims available; rental cost is L$16,200 a month.
There are also two 4096 sq. m. parcels available in the interior of our full-sim island, adjoining the beautifully landscaped R.A. Heinlein Memorial Park, a dedicated openspace available for all estate residents to use and enjoy. Although they are interior parcels, they have access to the Openspace seas via small streams that flow through the island. Each 4096 is 64x64 meters and supports 973 prims. Rent is L$8,100 per month each.
No Openspace sims are currently available, but if you're interested please ask; we have plans to add a few in the future.
Feel free to visit The Unknown Country, either to check out the available parcels, or just to take a look around--there are some interesting things to see and people to meet. Use "About Land" to identify the parcels For Rent, and take a couple of minutes to read the covenant. For more information, contact Klang Wopat, Randel McClellan, or Lorin Tone. Hope to see you there.
