The Price of Land is to high

I don't understand why land is so expensive now. Before, buying land, and throwing you pixel junk on it was a piece of cake, but now, seems like profit driven people are displacing people who aren't willing to give up a RL paycheck to make a monthly tier/rent. Its very difficult to find a sim without the infectious "republican ideology", ruining it for the people who think SL is just a game. Profit, yeah, I understand, but really, get a RL job if you crave money so badly.
