If your land is purchased by a bot when you intended to transfer the land, please do not panic, become aggressive or abusive. You've made a mistake, but this can almost always be corrected. Simply IM the owner of the bot group and explain that you made a mistake and would like to buy your land back. Bot owners are sometimes off-line when your land is purchased. Please include the SIM & coordinates in your IM. And remember, you get back what you put out there, so PLEASE be nice and reasonable. If you assume the best in others, you usually get the best back (notable exceptions for wireless phone companies and ISPs).
TRANSFER FROM INDIVIDUAL TO INDIVIDUAL:
**Use specific user**
1) Seller should right-click on land and choose "about land"
2) Click "sell land"
3) MOST IMPORTANT STEP!! In new pop up box, skip to step 2 where you determine to whom you are selling the land. Choose "SPECIFIC USER" from drop down box. In new popup box, type name of person to whom you want to transfer the land and click on "find", then click "select"
****If you choose ANYONE from the dropdown list, and you are selling below the market price for land, you're almost guaranteed a bot will buy your land. In effect, you are telling Second Life that you are selling the land to anyone in the game for the price you have just typed and that means anyone can buy it.*****
4) Go back up and set price for land. Type in agreed price for land (can be 0).
5) Choose whether you transfer the objects with the land.
6) Click "set land for sale"
7) ONLY your intended buyer can purchase the land now.
TRANSFER OUT OF GROUP TO INDIVIDUAL:
**Use specific user**
1) Make sure you have enough tier, personally, to buy land out of group.
2) If you have donated tier to group for land and have no tier left as individual, change your tier donation in group to 0. This puts the group into negative tier and gives warning message. It will be OK for a few minutes to have negative group tier to complete this transaction. [N.B. You can simply sell land to yourself and tick the "remove contribution from group" box EXCEPT that if you do not have sufficient tier to cover buying the land back out of the group, you are bumped up to the next tier level. These steps help ensure you do not incur a higher tier charge]
3) Right-click on land and choose "about land"
4) Click "sell land"

TRANSFER FROM INDIVIDUAL TO GROUP:
**Don't sell the land! Deed it to your group**
1) Right-click on land and choose "about land"
2) Make sure the correct group is active in your group list
3) Click on "set". Verify correct group name appears on the tab
4) Tick Allow Deed to Group
5) If you are contributing tier to group for this land, tick Owner Makes Contribution with Deed
6) Click on "deed"
Land now belongs to group
TRANSFER FROM GROUP A TO GROUP B:
**Use specific user**
1) If you have donated tier to Group A for land and you need the tier in Group B, remove your tier donation in Group A. This puts Group A into negative tier and gives warning message. Don't panic. 12) Watch for the transfer message. If Group B does not have sufficient tier, you will get a message saying the transfer failed.
