Premium Account holders used to be able to buy First Land that was cheap, but that was stopped just before I took out my first premium account
Now Masala Hot Properties are offering a First Land option:
You can buy a 512m2 plot from us for 6000L$ in Serpentata or for as low as 4000L$ in Nolidae. This is in the middle of the Old Continent, which is why the prices are up to 40% higher than in some continents. But this is Mainland, once you buy it MHP cannot reclaim it, it is yours for keeps (until you sell it to someone else).
If you baulk at the price try this offer for size, you pay nothing at all, ever, to MHP or Linden Lab to rent a 512 plot for as long as you want. The only cost is your premium account. How is this possible?
When you get a premium account it comes with 512m2 land bonus, that means that for the first 512m2 you own, you pay no Linden Tax (Land Use Fees, or Land Tier). If you donate 512m2 tier to MHP, then we will let you choose from any of our plots (including two on top of Nolidae Mountain). The plots will no longer be for sale and you can buy it at any stage during your rental at the market rate (currently 11.5L$/m2). You will have all rights of a land owner except the ability to sell the land. And you will not pay a single L$ to MHP or Linden Lab.
Too good to be true? No, MHP are desperate to stop paying Mainland Land Use Fees. We would rather sell the land, but if you donate your free 512m2 then we do not pay Land Use Fees for that plot.
The plot will not go on the For Sale market while you rent for free, as MHP has no land costs associated with your plot, other than the initial purchase price.
We cannot run away with your money, as you will not pay us anything. If you want to stop donating tier at any stage you can do so and it will be effective immediately. We are powerless to stop you. Expect however to be evicted if you stop donating!
