Now that this old Sesame Street clip ("Loaf of bread, container of milk, and a stick of butter";) has been mentioned in a couple of threads, I've gotten nostalgic about it. I was just Googling part of the phrase, trying to see what I could find...

No luck finding a clip yet, but I did find an interesting discussion about it (and a couple of other Sesame Street clips here in another forum... I didn't realize I was confusing it with another clip until I read this.

Also found this cool design, which you can apparently buy on a variety of items.

Not a bad start... I'd love to find a site that has some of those old clips, there are several that I remember fondly from my childhood.

From: Those acidheads at the Children's Television Workshop back in the 70's

Man: "Try to remember everything you pass, but when you go back, make the first thing the last." The man then spins his yo-yo, flings it at a high angle, and the yo-yo string pulls him into oblivion, as though he is going back to his own dimension. "Ha Haaaaa!"

Boy: "Wow!"

Man: (voice echoing from the other dimension) "Yeah."

My obsession over that clip as a child is, I'm convinced, the underlying reason for my love of psychedelics.

I would pop Samuel L. Jackson in the eye for a video clip of that cartoon.

A Loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter is one of my favorite bits they did on Sesame Street. I can still picture the little girl as she is walking to the store. I would pay a lot of money to own that clip. I have been looking for it for years. *sigh*

That was a good one, but I still prefer the Peter Max style pinball game from the Electric Company.

Onetwothree FOUR FIVE sixseveneight NINE TEN eleventwelve!

I just found an awesome movie with remixed music using the original animation.

It would be bold if Cookie Monster found out he was diabetic or hypoglycemic.

That was really cool-- I never noticed before how well the styles of the two things merge. Now I'm going to be humming that song all night! :D

How can that greedy, blue fur-bearing bastard eat that bananna? It has a FACE. Anything that has a face MUST be sentient! Frutocide! Fruitocide, I say! :D
