When asked if the world was approaching that moment, Robertson said, "It's possible. I don't have any special revelation to say it is but the Bible does indicate such a time will happen in the end of time. And could this be it? It might be." Pat admits he has no special revelation. ![]() _____________________

Personally I don't like Pat Robertson. I believe he does more harm than good by saying stupid stuff he repeatedly says and defending him isn't something I enjoy but Neehai... did you even bother to read that article?
Robertson did not say that the hurricanes "WERE" caused by the second coming. What he did say is that we "MIGHT BE" in the end times... MIGHT BE... MIGHT NOT. This is the quote from the article: When asked if the world was approaching that moment, Robertson said, "It's possible. I don't have any special revelation to say it is but the Bible does indicate such a time will happen in the end of time. And could this be it? It might be." This is really news? What about that is troubling coming from someone who does believe in the second coming? Might be today... might be tomorrow... might be next week... might next year... might be in a hundred years... might be in a thousand years... might might might might might might. _____________________

Personally, I don't like Pat Robertson either, and I'm Republican, conservative, Christian, and live in a Red State. Despite what the mainstream, and even Christian, media tends to report, he is not a leader to most of us everyday Christians trying to make it in a real world. Crying out loud, I've got enough of my own problems to worry about, I don't have the time to go out and hate everyone and blame everything on sin or the Muslims.
Sadly, it's the misguided Christians who make the news, and, in most cases, the wacky ones who get the TV shows. _____________________

I love the quote on the headline:
quakes, hurricanes 'starting to hit with amazing regularity' Yes, amazing. Amazing that we have weather and tectonic plates that have been exhibiting cyclic activity long before baby Jesus cried... Thus proving that he needs to return to his home planet of Mars where there are fewer storms and a relatively fixed surface. _____________________

if God really is on Pat Robertson's side then I can't worship him and will burn in the pits of hell for eternity to suit the sadistic nature of that god.

This is really news? What about that is troubling coming from someone who does believe in the second coming? Might be today... might be tomorrow... might be next week... might next year... might be in a hundred years... might be in a thousand years... might might might might might might. Well it isn't quite as simple as simply saying it "might be". That is just his catch all cop out in case it doesn't happen. He does that so people like you will be able to defend him if a thousand years go by and nothing happens. It might be coming for a number of reasons. I burned my toast this morning. That "might be" a sign of the rapture but Pat Robertson isn't giving an interview about that. To include the two together implies that there is a reasonable amount of cause and effect in his mind. I find predicting the end of the world very strange since your god said that not even the angels in heaven would know the time. I point you to Matthew 24:36-41. No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. So in this case, is it ever worth predicting? _____________________

Pat Robertson advocates murder, is a wealthy greedy power-hungry businessman and yet claims to represent Jesus who spoke out against those things, it should be obvious to Christians, real ones, that Robertson is a fraud, but not to his followers apparantly.

Pat Robertson advocates murder, is a wealthy greedy power-hungry businessman if that were true why would he spend his own money to build a giant needle with an eye big enough to let a camel walk through? _____________________

I don't even understand that because the man has clearly lost it on so many other issues. There is no need to infer... or invent what you want him to have said because there are too many examples or really really stupid stuff he actually has said. To answer your last question... no. _____________________

Nothing remotely amazing about it. Nuff said. _____________________
