I have this annoying coworker ... among being a complete idiot who doesn't know how to do his job properly, he has annoying habits: - Talks on his cell phone for hours, in fast Spanish, to God-knows-whom til 4am or later (Did I mention I work night shift?) - Sings along to commercials, and not just the good ones. - Instead of excusing himself and properly clearing his throat / sinuses, he will half-hawk up phlegm with a "kak-kak-kak" sounding noise repeatedly. So I ask: Is it unethical to drag him out into the street and smack him around a bit? j/k

I thought in a recent issue of Metaverse Messenger you quit your job and were working in SL full-time.
I guess that hasn't happened yet?
In any event, most frustrations are really projections of our own ability to achieve inner calm. If you're not happy with yourself, its a lot easier to get annoyed about things around you.
Just what I've found to be true. There are annoyances, but letting them go, most of the time, is really the best way.

And knowing you as I do Hiro, I am sure you annoy him. LOL! Things could be worse. I worked at one firm as the receptionist years ago. One of the coworkers had body odor extreme. I wrote to a local columnist, you know the kind that takes all your annoyances about stuff. I pointed out that with the exception of myself, all of the workers were college educated, so one would think they would know better. Didn't he print my complaint and include my name!!! But gosh the guy got the message and "cleaned up" his act.

There is no "maybe" choice?
Violence is only a solution if you've calmly and reasonably explained your side of things and he's made it clear that he intends to continue his actions specifically to annoy you.
If you haven't said anything and are complaining to vent, but intend to continue silently fuming, then you have wuss issues that need to be addressed.

From: Sebastian Skye Good point Maxx, plus there are probably things you do that annoy him as well. And knowing you as I do Hiro, I am sure you annoy him. LOL! I agree... Maxx, excellent reasoning. Perhaps, in an Office-Space-ian kind of way, my annoying coworker is just really an archtype of why I am glad I'm leaving my job. Tonight is my second to last day. HURRRAH!!!! From: someone Things could be worse. LOL You know, you're *helping* the body-odored guy. I wouldn't be surprised if his future includes a higher likelihood of raises, promotions, easier negotiations, hot dates, and other personal dealings. You should consider yourself a hero, Sebastian. Chance, Yeah, I'd agree, if the thread wasn't mainly a way to vent

Oh you *are* getting out...well, good!
I was hoping it would be the case. Its an example for people like me who would like to just do creative work instead of cube-bound things.
I can dream...

From: Maxx Monde I thought in a recent issue of Metaverse Messenger you quit your job and were working in SL full-time. I think that was what he asked Santa Linden for, but apparently he was a bad avie and got a lump of coal in his stocking instead. P2
