Hiya! Anyway...the State Fair of Texas started today here in Dallas. It is the largest state fair in the country with an attendance of over 3 million people. It goes until October 23.

Anyone planning on going to this in the area? :D I know it sounds nerdy but it will be cool to have a day to go and meet other SL people.

Corny Dogs! Blasphemy! They're Pronto Pups!

:p

I used to live in Texas during the 80's, and Dallas for part of that time, so I went 2 years in a row to the fair. :) Good times, and I was incredulous to see one bigger than the one here in my home state, Minnesota. We have gotten around 2 million attendees some years, although this year's was down a bit due to inclement weather for much of it's duration.

Oh well, always next year!

Have fun y'all! :)

ReallyRick, Austin here!

Had the Austin City Limits Fest not happened just last weekend, I would *so* be there. I have been in Texas for six years now and, unfortunately, have not made it to Dallas for the State Fair. :( Count me in for next year, though!

For those who will be attending, some helpful items to bring:

1. The phone number of a good cardiologist :D
2. A camera so ReallyRick can post pictures! :D

I have been in Austin about the same amount of time, and nope, haven't been to the fair. Sounds fun!
