Anyone with Micros POS experience?

The company I work for recently installed Micros POS systems in 3 restaurants. While I am comfortable with databases, SQL, Crystal Reports and other tools, I am not certain I can get much done without some good advice and a little help along the way.

Is there anyone in the SL community who has experience integrating 3rd party inventory and Purchase Order software with Micros and ACCPAC (accounting software at main office). I'd also appreciate any words of wisdom you can offer in dealing with data export using PHP or .NET with the SQLAnywhere 6.0 database driver that Micros uses for its database?

I would also love to hear any other backend/development stories or wisdom you could share. Basically I just need someone to talk to who isnt a Micros Representative. I don't want to criticize Micros, but we aren't completely satisfied with the service and attitude of our account reps.

I would be surprised if any single person could answer all those questions, but I would appreciate any knowledge/advice anyone can offer.

my love of pretending to own non-existant businesses knows no limits, and "Madam JoJo's Soul Shack" earned me a free subcription to Quick Service Restaurant Magazine . I read it hard-copy every month, and they are constantly discussing the ins and outs of POS integration, sometimes in pretty specific detail. Maybe you can find something to help you there?
