A Town Commons for Second Life users. The intent is to be a free speech zone, share information, and build community. I'm setting this up now and announcing it as time is of the essence, and I'll be working on it again tonight, so you should see the Beta version take shape by midnight LL time (Pacific time). It is currently noon 10 August.

Oh, I'm sure there is... groups search came up with 1697 mainly irrelevant results however. My goal will be to market the hell out of this to newbies and make it as easy to find as dirt.

newbies to find. I'm setting this up now and announcing it as time is of the
essence, and so this is the Beta version. I will keep it in beta for at least a few
weeks and welcome feedback and suggestions. Please reach me at

don't reply in a day please try again.

All are welcome and I hope to have a cross section of the various subcultures
in SL. Unlike the old and soon to be gone forums, this group is specifically
Gorean friendly, but everyone posting here who is a roleplayer may elect to do
so out of character (OOC). Please read the detailed file at the site for
clarifications.

User focus:

We want a diverse cross section of Second Life:

oldbies, midbies, newbies (especially!), even FIC and their enemies
Humans, robots, Goreans, Furries, BDSM, club members, Tinies... all of you,
and apologies if I've left your species out (let me know).

We want a diverse cross section of Real Life:

We do not discriminate over gender, orientation, creed, nationality, race,
politics, or other such categories.

We want to see a diverse cross section of types of SL users and differences of
opinion about what SL should be and how LL should run it.

Membership and moderation:

Open enrollment will be used for as long as possible. If you run into any
difficulty signing up, please let me know so that I can help.

While in the spammy environs of Yahoo! I must reserve the right to moderate, I
hope it will be rare and look forward to a lively and free discussion.
