to be honest, I don't really have any real issue </rimshot> with the FREEBIZMAG folk.
Over the last few years, I've gotten between one and two dozen free mag subscriptions - 6 or 12 month - without a huge increase in spam... not just computer mags but also such varied titles as Islands (travel), Workbench (woodworking) and American Cowboy (duh).

A lot of these I'd never ever buy on the newsstand - heck, I wouldn't think to look at most of these at a newsstand - but after the free lookie, I bet some folks keep the subscription.
Meanwhile I get to widen my reading horizons (well, a tad anyway) for essentially nothing other than a few extra delete keystrokes (heh heh).

Say this about spam in general - if it wasn't cost-effective, it wouldn't be out there.
In this case, I recommend this particular spam as "not bad".
