Unfortunately for me I have been banned from Second Life for so called sharing information such as passwords and accounts with another SL'r. However lets think about this...when someone told me I was banned with a "security block" do they not realize that we are not just sitting behind this portal called a computer or laptop but that at some point in our daily lives we do get up out of our chairs and do what is called travel....ATTENTION LINDENS do you not realize that we have friends/family in other places..... we travel to their homes and we even use "others" computers as well as and our friends and family that visit us, log into their sl accounts at their visitation....we can be physically present using someone else's IP/COMPUTER...... just a thought to ponder before you make the judgemental decision of banning someone.

I fail to see what this has to do with The Online Sims.

For the record, I meant this in jest. I appreciate the 2 clarifying PMs, though.

Hmmm, I think there must be something more to this than a simple matter of using someone else's computer to log on.

I have, and do use SL from different computers in different geographical locations via different ISPs (therefore certainly with different IPs) all the time and have never had any problem from LL about it.
And God help them if there ever was as there is nothing forbidding that in the TOS...

Sharing passwords is different than logging in from a different IP address.

I'd have to agree. I have logged into SL from friends from SL that I visit RW, so using the same IP as them, and never have had issues with it.

I've logged into SL for at least 4 different computers, in 4 different locations. I don't think that is the cause of the problem.
