But I wanna talk 'n joke 'n generally have fun with my SL Forum friends! *sob* Is there someplace that will have the population and diversity that these forums have? Some other bulletin board or forum set? Where are *you* going to go once the forums close down?

I will give Second Citizen a try, but frankly don't hold much hope for it. From what I hear it just sounds like a place for people to belittle and degrade anyone that has a different opinion than they do.

So far I've heard of Second Citizen and Stratics...and there's Sluniverse.com, too... I have an account with SLUniverse, but there was never enough traffic on there to really pull me to check it out that often. What do you guys think of these forum sites?

Once the forums are shut down, that will cut one of the last leftover ties to the old sense of "community" that I had here. After that this will just be more and more the internet in 3D, so I imagine we may never run across each other again.

Eh, 2nd Citizen may get bad, but there are no mods, we can say what we want, you can ignore what you don't like, etc. Really we do have quite a bit of fun.

After that this will just be more and more the internet in 3D, so I imagine we may never run across each other again. thank you!, i have been trying to put into words what i feel about this and you have done it for me! to me this is just one more peice of evidence that LL no longer cares about new or less tech minded users, i have neither the time nor the interest to read 15 blogs a day to see what's happening, nor to go to 4 or 5 websites to see what's new in SL fashion, when i think of teh peopel i would hav enever met in SL had i not become aware of them here ... oh well..i guess it is finally sinking in thru my think skull that very soon there will be no place left in Sl for me.

Completely useless cesspool due to a lack of effective moderation. (Which is the direction the SL fora have been heading lately, thus I won't miss them terribly.) So, are there any good fora out there? With moderators, who actually do their jobs? With a good sense of community and low tolerance for trolls? |
