!!WARNING!!! Below is a post about the movie "flight plan" if you haven’t seen it or plan on seeing it, then don't read on.... (I kinda spoil the ending)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm watching "flight plan" with Jodie foster while waiting for the update to finish, and I was just wondering if anyone else thought this movie tries to hard to be "trendy". At first they have you thinking that Jodie’s Character is crazy, but then you realize it's a conspiracy, witch is kinda a nice flip flop however i find it hard to swallow that 2 people could dream up and execute such a daring plot. Also what’s up with Jodie’s face? Did anyone else notice that she looks like she's 60 years old?
So if you feel like commenting and entertaining me by all means please do!!!1one!

Most Hollywood thrillers have plot holes large enough to fly a jet airliner though. This movie is a natural extention of this.

It was ridiculously dissapointing for a movie starring Jodie Foster, who I usually find to be a great actor in wonderful movies (for the most part).
It was contrived, stupid and mundane.

Jodie is a member of the near-zero percent body fat club, makes her face look very hard and a bit more lined than one would expect of a woman in her 40's.
I've not watched this movie yet, the trailer indicated a film that was plot #4, with some "I see dead people" type plot twist to be employed. Heck I didn't stick around for Bobby's return on Dallas (It was all a dream), why for this one?
I figure she's paying some bills doing this picture and mores the power to her especially if she can follow up with something more interesting and creative in line with the bulk of her career.

It was predictable. I just watched it last night. For me it started off real slow, going back and forth between train, casket and courtyard. I know it was setting up for later but this is what made it predictable for me. The twist and plots were nothing new. Didn't have me going "omgz, I would have never guessed". I knew it was the marshall as soon as he said "He probably jumped!" I did like some of the computer graphics but I'm always amazed with those. MJ

I remember first seeing Jodie as a child actor and thinking, "wow, she looks creepy". I have never been able to put my finger on it, maybe its the body fat thing. I had always thought it had something to do with her eyes. She is a great actress, though. I love most of her stuff.

(i seem to agree alot).. lol, but jobie is a great actress, and I've allways thought she was pretty, but in this film she seems "tired"

I saw this and wasn't too impressed. The only good part of the movie was her vindication at the end when she walked out carrying her daughter, who did indeed exist. TAKE THAT UNBELIEVING BASTARDS!
Aside from that, the acting completely sucked. It was like watching cardboard people say lines. The marshall was too weird, nice one minute, and out of nowhere mean comments the next. It was TOO much on his part, he didn't handle the part well.
The flight attendants bugged me, the whole thing was CRAP. But oh well. At least I didn't have to pay to watch it, a friend lent it to me.

I enjoyed it.
We actually saw this in the theater when it first came out. We don't pay to go to many movies (unless by Pixar!), but occasionally we get in the mood to go and have to choose from what's out there.
As usual, I read the reviews of what was out there to choose from before we went, so none of us was particularly pumped up for anything great.
So . . . we enjoyed it.
(Plus it DID have Jodie Foster.)

Wow, you just expressed my secret feelings that I thought no one else had about Jodie Foster. I also had an immediate "she's creepy" reaction to her as a child actress that I have never been able to shake. She just exudes a kind of yucky aura or something almost as if she wasn't really a human but some kind of creature doing a (technically) undetectable imitation. Everybody loves her so much though I keep my secret shame inside. I would go even further and say she is not even a great actress though, she is an "okay" actress in my book. I do not let my dislike of her get to the point of prejudice however. One of my all time favorite movies for instance that I have watched over and over is "Contact." She is the star of course and does a great job of it although it's really the script that shines there. Oddly enough the movie is based on a book by Carl Sagan who is another person that everyone likes that just irritates me no end. In his case there are reasons to hate him though.

Yes, creepy, but not exactly yucky. Sort of a creepy that makes one uneasy but not repulsed. "Contact" was okay until the ending. When they applied the theory of special relativity backwards it became an officialy sucky movie. If she had traveled near the speed of light there and then near the speed of light back it would have been a short time for her and a very long time for an observer watching from earth ( twin paradox). They told it the other way around.
