OK enough is enough...

Just recently, I have taken to doing a lot more "sightseeing" in secondlife. My good friend and I try to find interesting places to visit and look at fascinating builds etc. Unfortunately...along with covering more space....comes meeting more idiots. Sounds harsh... well let me put it in persoective.

Scenario number 1:
A visit to a "linden landmark".

Whilst standing and talking to my friend (on Linden land), we were approached by this particular eraser head.. who started his introduction with "nice music, I am an elite builder" being a little taken aback by the fact that I was in the middle of a conversation with my friend....and usually such a circumstance would be greeted by an "excuse me" or at least a "hello", the comment was made of "Hi there, good on you."
very next sentance was "I am building an Inn, only been here 3 days, want to come see?" ok... now, I am all for feeding the confidence of builders...so I was keen to look and praise and then go on our merry way. When we got to the inn, something smelled a little fishy. For starters, the build was a little advanced for a 3 day old.. second thing I noticed was the drug parafanalior all over the walls in a PG area. So.... "hey, better be a little careful with the drug stuff in a PG area, dont know how you will go with that" to which the reply "people smoke, most people here are stoners".
Really? wow... My firend and I both said "im not".
Looking around the build was good but not great... but we both gave compliments...again being told he was only here for 3 days and again we said "wow...really good for 3 days"thanked the pot head for his time and walked away.
Now here is where I went wrong...

As we walked down the Tracks, on Linden land.. a faint SHOUT of "F$%&ING LOSSERS" to which I turned on my heels and went back to his INN. (yes, I should have just walked away).

I walked back in the door and our new found friend let loose with a barrage of proffanity to which I said "excuse me... there is no need to be rude...we dropped by..." no luck...cut off and threats of pulling out his "12 guage" were then thrown around.
As we walked away, not wishing to fuel the fire...I did pass comment that the Ivory tower helps with building... maybe that was wrong.

Next thing we know... Yee haw...we are in the old west...bullets whizzing past our ears... us flying left right and centre...lol
So we sat down and filed a complaint... As we were sitting a good distance away from his land, he was still standing over us...gun out, shooting away.. telling us it was "z****rs land...and that he was actually z****er so he could do what he liked".

Then why the hell was he telling us he had been here for 3 days? was he looking for false compliments for a false claim? Was he lonely? My guess is maybe a little of both...and maybe all the pot he smokes has effected his ability to think straight as well?

Now that was dissappointing...and a little upsetting... maybe even just a fraction funny... and I would have thought a "once off" but no, not as it would turn out...people are going crazy everywhere!!!

On my nightly google for the best places in SL to visit...I came across one that links to a particular build that was worth a look. So... I hop off the danceball I am on, and off we teleport to the new place. unfortunatey for me...I didnt unhook from the ball...so I was still dancing when I arrived at the new destination. So my first concerns are.."stop dancing" I say to my frined "help lol...still dancing"... he pulls out and animation killler...and I rez it and then stop dancing. It was at that point I noticed a guy off to the left, I figured he had just teleported...and I flew away a bit...to try and find this build (it was not apparant we were anywhere near it as there was little to see). the guy from the left followed....
then my friend told me he had been frozen, then banned from the land.
So I stopped...and asked him what happened... as I am IMing him...a new IM pops up...
"WHAT?"
I have never even seen the name on that IM before... so "sorry, what?"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT"
it clicked, this was the guy from the left (lol)
So I said "sorry... I was looking for a cool build but apparantly its gone"
He said "***-***?"
To which I replied "yes, thats the one"
"I am the owner and builder it is under construction"
"ahhh ok, sorry to have bothered you"
(by this time I had teleported home)
"YOU DIDNT"

hmmm..ok... "I must have because you froze then banned my friend, and then greeted me aggressively"
"YOU ANGERED ME, THERES A DIFFERENCE"

"angered you how? by turning up?"

"YUP"

"NOW GO AWAY"

"sorry, wont happen again"

"ANYWAY ITS MY LAND AND i CAN SAY WHO COMES AND GOES"

by this point I have lost interest all together... "*yawn* ok then, thanks"

"IT WILL BE OPEN AGAIN IN A MONTH OR TWO"

"thats nice LOL"

OK What the hell? I visited... all we did was spend maybe 30 seconds on his land and he froze then banned then went stupid? Honestly...were they handing out free drugs on friday night?...was it "let your kids cause a ruckas in SL " night?

People... be friendly to one another... not everyone is there to blow your head off... not everyone wants to cause a stir...some of us just want to walk around and have some fun.
If you had a good build...and people turn up...expect that... hey, if you are re building and want to be alone then remove all links to your place...and if someone shows... you could just say "Sorry alice, we are rebuilding at the moment and its a bad time, could you come back in a month or two?"
Easy peasey... no offence made and everyones happy. lol

Anyway... just wanted to rant. glad to get it off my chest lol


Oh...and if anyone has a nice build...something a little out of the ordinary...and dont mind visitors..please let me know, I would love to see your stuff.

Maybe he was here only three days. With all the changes going on I won't be surprised to start seeing people handing off or selling thier accounts to others. Since names cannot be changed like in TSO whoever gets those accounts will just assume everything with them.

I also have been running into people that are absolutely insane acting. Sorry you had such a bad night.
