Christian Civic League of Maine? Good Christians or bad Christians?

Real Christians or not? There has been a lot of talk about what is Christian and what is not. As I see groups like this who are opposing the equal protection laws in Maine that will include homosexuals. (Without this law you can be fired from your job and be denie housing because you are gay. This is true is a lot of the country.)

Here is the question on the referendum.

"Do you want to reject the new law that would protect people from discrimination in employment, housing, education, public accommodations and credit based on their sexual orientation?" http://www.maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/pets02/pets02-1.htm

Now my question is this? Is it a Christian value to actively try to stop a law that would prevent discrimination against homosexuals?
