I am Definitely into UnderWorld. I cannot wait for Underworld:Evolution when it comes out in January. So why did I post this? I wanna get a whole buncha ppl together n create three separate Groups.

The Vampire Group called The DeathDealers.

The WereWolf Group called The Lycans.

And The group based on Michael which would be called until the movie suggest otherwise
The VampLycans.< This one I wanna make but it depends on how many posts i get or ppl i am contacted in sl by.

This is all possible but it will take alotta ppl to accomplish.

And remember by the movie both Lycans n The DeathDealers have rules to follow.

Whereas the new race Michael will create is still ruleless at least til the sequel claims otherwise...

I liked the movie. It was simple math, really. I like vampires. I like Kate Beckinsale. Put the two together and you've got one hot lookin' undead cutie.

As for the groups, I've got no empty slots, and I'm not much of a role player, so it looks like I'll have to sit this one out. Good luck with it though. It's a cool idea.

I like the movie alot, even though they took the name "death dealers" from elsewhere.

Like, maybe from some place where death was, like, dealt? What're we talking? Sicily, back when silent Tristero's empire was yet flourishing? The Red Hook neighborhood, around when only Thomas Wolfe's dead knew Brooklyn? The Mongol plains, during the horse-driven reign of Temujin? Or maybe more recently --- like from the local paper's report, twelve years ago, about whoever it was that killed those girls at TCBY?

And maybe someone, somewhere, in some backwater burg of world literature visited only by hopelessly text-based otaku, also previously used the term "vampires," too, do you suspect?

And what about "the," while we're at it? I could swear on a stack of Necronomicons that I've seen that suspicious article somewhere before!

Let's get to the goddam bottom of this!

Probably a lot of them. I'm playing Vampire the masquerade: bloodlines video game lately. It seems decent, I just wish the plot was less linear.

Man, Underworld was hoooooooooorrible... It borrowed so heavily from White Wolf's World of Darkness that it was sad that it ended up so poorly done. there's much better vampire stuff out there. As has been mentioned Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines the video game is very awesome.

I've been half considering putting together a V:tM or V:tR group on SL, just depends though if people would play regularly and/or contribute to a sim-fund so we could have a fully functional city :)

What a jerk.

This seems cool. I am a huge fan of Underworld, but I am not a roleplayer.

Devlin's sensors are working overtime. Behave you! hehe :p

And Deem, I'm a huge fan of the movie. As an avid horror fan, the concept of mixed breeding between the two facinates me. It reminds me of a line in the movie Stand By Me:

From: someone

Vern: You think Mighty Mouse could beat up Superman?
Teddy: What are you, cracked?
Vern: No, I saw him on TV the other day, he was holding five elephants in one hand.
Teddy: Boy, you don't know nothing. Mighty Mouse is a cartoon. Superman's a real guy. There's no way a cartoon could beat up a real guy.
Vern: I guess you're right. It'd be a good fight though.

Ok.. not *quite* the same. But it is one of those things that makes you wonder. What *would* happen.

For those not at the SLCC, the concept of future avatar breeding was talked about by the lindens. various concepts on "what if avatar A bred with avatar B". And what the outcome could entail.

It totally got my mind racing. haha

Anyway, I am forever supportive of roleplay groups in SL. Just as I love D&D in RL, I would love to play a scenario from time to time. I only hope more have the vision to create a world within the world where this is possible. :)

It was almost a great movie, but it suffered from too much distance from a supposed "real world" as a background. The city streets were mostly empty and things had a "small, enclosed" feel to them. I think it would have been much better if there was more interaction with normal reality as a contrast.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed Underworld, and Kate is hot, but it didn't quite suceed in what it attempted.

I do hope the second one is better. :o

And I really like Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. It definitely has it's creepy moments (the haunted hotel and others) and has far more depth than expected. Now if I could just kill that oriental vampiress/monster in the basement. She whacks my poor Gangrel every freakin time.

I have no idea how someone can make it through with a non-combat oriented vampire type, but will be fun to try.

arrgh, yeah. I had a similar problem with my first try. I concentrated on persuasion & seduction and couldn't win the fight with the tentacle thing. *sigh* why give us non-combat options if you can't win with them?
