Between the illegal war actions and the scandals, these two have a lot in common. Yet, they both have their own unique inadequacies and reasons to dislike them, such as corruption in case of Nixon and crippling stupidity in the case of Bush. Bush isn't stupid. He is smarter than Nixon. Thats why no one can prove that he is involved in the corruption.

So with that said, which of these two presidents is worse in your opinion? ~Ulrika~ In a sense, Nixon at least had a few positive qualities about him; I think the best I can say about Bush to date is there's areas where he hasn't screwed up as badly as he could have. _____________________

I'd have to vote for Bush *cringe* on this one.
For the following reasons: 1. He's horrible as the CEO of the Corporation of America. 2. He looks better in a sock puppet outfit than Nixon. 3. He most resembles the MAD Magazine cover guy. Interesting question. I'm gonna go Google corruption and see whose name pops up most. O _____________________

 Bet you didn't see anyone with green hair protesting Nixon back in the day, didja. Who is worse, hmmm...my vote goes to Bush. While tricky Dick was arrogant, at least his arrogance didn't come from a belief that he has a direct line to the Big Commissioner in the Sky. _____________________

Faced with such a choice I can only cry. Its like being asked which of two terrible ways to die you would prefer. Its also like walking into a voting booth these days and having to choose between two idiots to run things.

Nixon was smarter, Bush is a puppet.
Nixon improved relations between the US and China. Bush has hurt relations with longtime allies. Nixon didn't shove his foot in his mouth every couple of weeks. Bush regularly says something stupid. Nixon wasn't in bed with the religious right. Basically, both sucked as Presidents, but in a direct comparison, Bush is much worse, because Nixon is dead. |

Where is the Clinton option? Clinton was, at most, mediocre. The country can survive mediocre presidents; hell, we even survived Nixon. Bush... I dunno. Time will tell. _____________________

I just bought a book by John Dean called Worse than Watergate which shows the Bush/Cheney administration is not only worse than Nixon's, it is more secretive, which means there's bad stuff he has done that nobody knows about yet.
