i thought the whole point was to be able to have sex with other men, yet still hold onto the illusion of masculinity by using the female avatar. Isn't that what the pixel-slapping is all about?
When i see a couple going at it in a (not-so) nearly public venue i think, "How wonderful that two men can express themselves so freely!" |

So, I cut-and-pasted two of my posts from the "Stupid Questions" thread (granted, the combined posts were fewer than 500 words). My results?
Female Score: 150 Male Score: 176 The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: male! I am female. Since when is the word "so" considered male? Very odd, indeed. _____________________

When i see a couple going at it in a (not-so) nearly public venue i think, "How wonderful that two men can express themselves so freely!" I pasted in five or six of my posts at random and on some I am wildly female on others I am willdly male. On many I am just over the bar in one direction or the other? Not exactly a definitive tool. The thing that worries me is the posts where I am being logical, seem to come out as "male" and those where I am getting upset I am "female." Just cause someones a professor doesn't make it scientific I guess. ![]() _____________________

I bet the male score shoots even higher. ![]() _____________________

Very unreliable
![]() I tested with IMs I've got forwarded to my email - with persons who's gender I know for sure. Plus some of my own messages. With almost all the very short messages, the web site couldn't decide on the gender. And the other ones...? Just random, as Dianne mentioned. Fun thing for parties though ![]() Edit: Just tested with this message as blogged text, and came up as male. But as fiction and non fiction came up as female - *grin* |

I'm far more concerned that my SL sex is another species or myself.

I'm far more concerned that my SL sex would NOT be a man.
If I were into SL Sex, that is ![]() On that program... I've seen it before. It generally hits me pretty consistant. Every short story I've wrote I plugged in scored as male except for one that I was writing from a female perspective, and that one only barely. Every essay assignment from last semester that I plugged in turned out male. <--- Is male _____________________

What should such fellows as I do crawling between earth and heaven? We are arrant knaves, all; believe none of us.

Hmm, will have to plug in text-based multiuser stuff into this. I've been doing MUSHes for 14 years now, and it's easier to tell there. If someone's text description describes "breasts", it's more than likely a guy. Female players just don't typically use the word.
![]() Then again, I've been playing male characters all that time, and am female. I know of friends there that I've been acquinted with (talked on a day to day basis with but not shared much personal info) who still don't know. And really... don't care. The ones who find out, though, often immediately apologize for slights they may have made in their ignorance. It's cute.Pym |
