The cover of Roxy Music's "Ladytron" by The Venus in Furs from the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack is good. Which Ladytron are you talking about? The electronica act or the glitter rock band?

ok, I'll admit it. I like ladytron. I don't have enough of their music, though. Also, perhaps older, but "Seabound" is another import I'm fond of.

I used to listen to a bit of ladytron myself. I also used to have this really cool sticker of them all in black looking spaced out at the camera. I slapped it up on a mirror that I used to slap cool stickers on. The mirror broke in a move :( I always had a little thing for electroclash that I try to keep under the radar. I have a small collection of electroclash records from my DJ days that I could never spin in my sets, lol... it always makes me think how far ahead of thier time Kraftwerk was.

  1. I'm a huge fan of Fischerspooner.
  2. I've heard of Le Tigre (via their TKO song). I just ordered the whole album on allofmp3.com.
  3. I really enjoy Scissor Sisters as well. There's an excellent variety of songs on their album.

O.o a thread about ladytron! well YAY!! i AM a HUGE FAN! and im all about le tigre as well and stuff... like.... The Faint. If you NEVER heard the song: "Worked Up So Sexual"... then... you have NEVER EXPERIENCED dancing without being able to stop, no mater where you are at that precise moment. Here in Montreal there is a very big no-so-underground-anymore scnene for that kind of stuff. People dress that way, think that way, talk that way, have bands like that, go to bars with that type of music... Hey! It's life of the party!
We also have Dandi Wind (crazy voiced gal who jumps all around in demonics moves with costumes and makeups to die for) who moved here recently and the unfamous Saphire nightclub wich has oh so crazy night where you go in your underwears to pay slutty bingo while a band like them plays.
