I hate all the threads, every single stinking one of them. These forums would be a nice peaceful place if it just weren't for all these miserable threads clogging them up.

the terrain sucks too, if we could just get rid of sims, terrain, AVs, prims, scripts, linden dollars, and thread, then SL and the forums would rock instead of sucking. and particles.

We could post messages, but instead of having threads, with sentences, in a sequence, in an attempt to have a discussion, the messages should be broken up into separate words. We'd have a display of words entered, and who the words had been entered by. I don't guess we could have the words time stamped because that might make it possible to try to rearrange them back into sentences again and that would mean people would be saying meaningful things again and soon we'd be back at threads and we all know what threads lead to:
Threads, collected together by topic, comprise distinct forums, and with the existence of distinct forums comes an obligation on the part of the poster to find the correct one to start their thread in. Then the respondents are expected to respond with something that bears on the topic! It's totalitarian! A nightmarish web of order and responsibilty.
Being able to discern the words that messages were made from might be too orderly, people might still be able to sneak some meaning in somehow, so maybe having the messages broken down into individual characters would be better, just a chart of all the ASCII or Unicode characters and how many times each has been entered and who by. No one would need to worry about spelling, or being relevant to a topic, or have any constraints on their content at all. Wouldn't need a moderator either, you could say anything about anybody and it wouldn't matter because it would never get read.
Yep, that's the ticket for improving the forums. Eliminate the use of words in sequences.
