Ok, the forums will be shut down in a month. LL doesn't give you any kind of compensation for your work here, and your going to be fired anyway.
So why not just say “to hell with it” now and stop moderating at all? Let's just let the forums go to hell in a hand basket this last month.
Why not? It's not like LL cares.

I was gonna say the same thing. Has anyone noticed that there doesn't seem to be much resmodding going on today, since the announcement? Just sayin'

I'm serious here. The resmods must feel pretty betrayed by this. They have put in a lot of time and effort trying to make these forums a nice place to be and have taken a lot of shit for it too.
How do the Lindens thank them for all this time and effort? They hand them their hat and show them the door with a “don't call us we won't call you”.
How does that make you resmods feel?

honestly, i don't feel one bit betrayed by LL in respects of my position as a ResMod.
if the forums are closing for reasons of decentralizing and an issue of non-scalability, then so be it.. it's incredibly sad to see the forums go to me, but at least it would be for a business decision.
however, if one of the reasons is due to the ugly, negative underbelly that's so notorious in the forums.. then i'm still fine with LL, it's our forum community that i'd be ashamed of in that respect.
i have tried my best to moderate fairly and without bias. i have used this role to try to keep the forums a place where people enjoyed discussing any number of topics. i've been here for quite awhile now and i will sorely miss these forums.. i've always described them as the pulse of SL and without them.. there will be a noticeable loss in the connection of our community as it relates in whole to Second Life, both in-world and elsewise.
by the way, to be honest.. yes, i considered the thought of.. "well, the heck with it then", but i can't just sit back and watch what's left of the forums decay into a pile of refuse. i would be much happier to see the forums go out on a high note.
