I'm taking a break from forum drama. We've had kitten picture threads, rl picture threads, houses, etc. I thought I'd start my own picure thread. For some reason, all I could think of was hyenas...

They attacked at dawn like gray shawdows. I saw a boy go down hamstrung, the next thing his throat is ripped out. I couldn't see what was doing it, it was like a ghost attack, but the boys knew and the cry went up, "Schmoom Schmoom!". That's the natvie word for hyenas blinded by the beastly medicine men. In bizzare rituals they burn out their vocal chords and eyes with red hot needles binding the tortured animals to their will.

Now, we had been hunting the mountain gorilla, they're slightly larger than the lowland species, and we had this cage just so big and big enough and I managed to nip inside and lock the door. The boys couldn't understand, they hurled curses at me pleading to be let in as the hyenas tore them apart. That sight will haunt me to my dying day.

This was from one of his spoken word albums. I'm doing this from memory, so I'm sure I messed it up. It actually has some worse bits in it where the speaker speaks patronizingly about the natives, but I couldn't remember the whole thing. I think it was on the album "You're the Guy I Want to Spend My Money With".
