Hey guys. Look who's back. Well, only to ask a question.

Does anyone know of any programs (freeware, I'd prefer) that take input from a webcam and make it full screen? Or perhaps puts it into a window that takes up the whole screen so as widgets and such could be layered over it? Thanks, lifers.

hey! it's Darwin! how goes it?

ok, i don't really have webcam experience, but let me see if i understand you correctly. do you basically want to be able to stream video from a webcam as a "wallpaper"? so that icons on the screen and such can be placed on top of it?

cause that's what i'm about to start sleuthing about for.. be right back..

If you turn on Active Desktop in Windows you can set your desktop to any web content. You can have images, whole webpages, webcams, whatever, and you can arrange multiple sources, scale and resize them. With enough weather.com and nasa.gov sources you can make your desktop look like the Big Board at NORAD, all without any additional software.

and yeah.. it sounds like Julian had a good idea, too. heheh.. i had no idea you could do that. then again, i don't spend much time with Windows.. just what it takes to do my work/play.

I have been doing some in the forests, yes, and I also wish we had more of it in SL. Helps get all that energy out into the world.
