Some shops have subscribe-o-matics instead of groups. I like the fact that they don't add to the number of groups in your profile and that you're not limited to 25 groups. However, I experience more and more that they are slow or not delivering at all. For instance, the subscribe-o-matic at Pixeldolls. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Port%20Seraphine/42/128/47Whenever I touch it to get something from the history, things don't get delivered or they get delivered after a big delay. Is there anything I can do about this myself? Or is it the owner's issue?

It is probably a mixture. Most sims are becoming overloaded with active scripts, sculpties and flexi objects, combined with poor prim alignments and 60,000+ ppls online. Any scripted object/device that relies on sim servers to deliver its payload, is going to suffer slow down.
On the horizon is Mono, this scripting langauge will allow smarter and cleaner ways to link directly to the internet and bypass most of the reliances on LL systems. Scribe O Matic is a solution, a good one at that, it will evolve and make use of the up and coming Mono.

Or is it the owner's issue? It's not you, subscribe-o-matic just doesn't work terribly well, even compared to notices. There are something that add to the problems though: * offline messages cap (check your email if you have them forwarded) * notecards/textures silently go into their respective folders if you weren't online when they were given to you so they're easy to miss * setting busy will decline inventory offers * going AFK - if you don't look at your history when you come back you might have missed the message
