No. Just nobody confident enough to offer "a solution".
There are a number of windows components that end with "32" referring to the fact that it is a 32 bit memory model used since (mostly) Windows 95.
My guess is that on your system, one of these components is either missing or corrupted. Viruses can do that, or a number of other things. I no longer claim to be a Windows expert (I used to falsely make the claim, these days I'm convinced that there ARE no Windows experts), so I can't tell you anything very specifically to try. Virus scan, if you haven't already. Re-install Windows if all else fails. While you are still in between the trivial and the unthinkable:
There is a log file created by SL when it has trouble. It will be in a folder such as
"c:/documents and settings/username/Application data/Secondlife/logs"
*grits teeth and mutters "we loves windows, we loves windows"*
You might check the tail end of those log files for more specifics.
If you are having similar problems browsing the web though I'd tackle that problem first. Curing it will probably fix SL too, and each iteration of the experiment will be a lot faster hitting a web page than signing on to SL. Posting more specific information here might also help and expert come up with a suggestion.
