Spikey Textures....

when i zoom in or out ..and when i teleport somewhere i get this horrible spikey textures across the screen and i cant see anything..

i know its an easy fix.. someone told me once how to fix it but that was months ago.. anyone help?? PLEASE?! Im desperate!

In SL, under the Edit menu, go to preferences, graphics preferences, hardware options and uncheck the box for VBO (OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects).
