I've had no problems with my PC and running SL until the last two days, here is what has happened I keep getting pixelations across the screen, not constantly but every now and then, now today 3-4 times i would get the pixelations but also the monitor would shut off and go into sleep mode, then having me to reboot the whole pc...any help or suggestions would be appreciated :)

I'm no pro, but i had a problem like that back in 04 and it was my video card not getting enough power.

Sounds like a hardware issue. My guess is either your video card isn't getting enough power, or it's overheating. I would suggest you remove it, clean it and the rest of your computer's innards (blow out all dust, make sure fans spin freely, reseat all connections), and then put it back. If the problem persists, try another video card if you have one, or take it to a repair center.

It could also be you've got a bad cable connecting your video card to your monitor. Try another cable, if you have one.

Those are my best guesses.

What are your full system specs, by the way? Be sure to include your power supply wattage in the list.
