Was just speaking to a neighbour today who was just putting everything back in her inventory as she's leaving her 1/2 sim due to costs.

Also saying about liking space and sad to go etc etc etc..........

Said how nice it could be if you could get a plot of land (perhaps between 4 or 6 of you) and share the price.

Have 1 garden, 1 pool area, 1 boat (if near water) sunbeds, palm trees, all that kinda stuff that everyone shared,

But have 1 bulding, with say 4 or 6 levels, and each person decorated and lived in their own level, yet had the advantage of being able to share what's on the land.

I gues this has been tried (and poss failed) as an idea before.

but, I am right in thinking that there is absolutly no way at all of setting prim limits for a VERTICAL section within a parcel, is there?

And it would totally be down to people's self regulation of an agreed amount per person/level

yup, there is a sim covenant, which protects you, tonnes of sims are set to no build past 100m or what not. There is no automatic way no, but you can set a sim to have a covenant and require people to read and agree to it automatically. that is before they move in.

Oh yes, I undertand that, but it's just a "self policed" policy for the people there.

So you say, well you have floor 1A and 1B and you can only use 200 prims in total on these 2 floors.

Then basically it's up to you, to keep sneaking around their places all the times and counting up the prims to make sure they have not gone over their 200

(as an example)

I guess I was wondering if anyone out there had written a in-world tool/util that you could set vertical bands and scan thos bands for prim counts. Or something like that?

there are machines that can count people's prims fairly easily, but in general towers are awful to rent. People fighting over madia streams, prims all over the place, normally people parcel off smaller house sized areas and put one per person for more control over their tenants. But no, there is no real way to manage a tower easily.
