auto updater not working

I tried to log on 14:32 GMT (06:00 PST) and was informed off the new version. The auto updater started running but brought up the error message 'the procedure entry point getaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic library WS2_32.dll' click okay throught this 3 times before bringing up another message saying the auto updattor is broke?

Anyone else getting this?

Can the patch be found elsewhere?

If I download a1.5.2 complete and reinstall where do I locate my current avatars save files to copy them into 1.5.2?

if you uninstall and reinstall all your data is safe. Avatars and stuff are all stored on the servers.

The downside is that you have to set your preferences again and you get the popups when you first play telling you about clicking stuff etc..

Advantage is that SL seems to be more stable if you do this.
