Graphical Preferences - What does the "SKY" slider do?

Perhaps I'm missing something, but just what is the "SKY" slider supposed to do in graphical preferences?

Mine is set to low, and I slide it all the way up to full, and can't see any different when I'm looking up at the sky.

Am I missing something?

i think it has (had) something to do with the detail of the sky, like fake sun rays, maybe cloud details

It makes the Sun look bizarre.

Thanks for the replies.

Well, I looked up at the clouds (daytime. sunset ect) whilst adjusting the slider, but could make out no difference, even when moved to full as opposed to low.

I didn't look direct at the sun I will admit.

Unless it's one of those sliders that needs a reboot before the change takes place?

I will try again tonight and look at the sun and see if I can see anything

changes the detail using windlight settings from great to soso

I don't think it effects the classic clouds nor sun/moon stars without using World>advance> windlight stuff

Well, I looked at the sun today (don't do this at home children !!!)

And moved the slider from min to max.

All is seemed to do (for me) was change the sun from a very fuzzy patch in the sky to a more circular blob.

Not much?
