Lately I have noticed that my small region on the mainland is running on a different simulator version to the regions around it, it seems to be causing so much more lag and when you try to cross into the next region you just keep going!
I get this message: The region you are entering is running on a different simulator version.
Is there any way I can get this small region to run on the same simulator as those around it?

It's just a side effect of the rolling restart going on this week. The restarts are done in chunks over a few days, so that message appears here and there on sim crossings. Tomorrow morning will be the last chunk of the restart, so the messages will go away after that.

phew thank goodness for that, now I just have to sort out my age verification so I can fly at all!!
