System my ***

I keep reading peops having issues with SL. More after each update for the viewer and server moves and stuff. Now I haven't been using the official SL-viewer for ages cos it sucks but hey I'm still having issues. Seeing a lot of answers to the issues say it should be their system, settings and so on. But then if that is true tell me why we have been running SL for a long time on our systems with the same settings as always and all of a sudden need to LOWER our setting to even be able to walk. This is not just me or my partner, cos friends of ours had to quit SL cos of the same issues.

So I guess ALL our systems have F-ed up of all of a sudden???

Linden lab is making in impossible for people to run sl these days. And forsing people to buy a brand new system that they can't afford. Is it so hard to admit that it's not ALL of our system that f*ck up but that LL is going out of their minds changing things all the time?

I love SL, and I've met some pretty nice people there but it's harder and harder to stay in touch cos of these issues and it p*sses me off to see how some people blame it on something else.

It's not just one person having issues it's loads of us, so why don't people wake up???

I agree, and have also noticed this change. of course no one's computer is "up to date' things change daily in regards to technology. But a few months ago I didn't even know what lag was or why everyone seemed to have so much problems with it.

But recently, with the newer SL viewers I have noticed that things load MUCH slower than they used to, textures are holding a lesser quality and walking even in low traffic areas is complete hell.

And I've noticed all this stayed the same after I wiped my PC. So No, we don't all randomally need brand new PC's and MACs at the same time. Linden Labs just needs to find a way to integrate "User Friendly" back into the viewer.

I'm glad you agree but it's not just the changes in the viewer cos as I mentioned befor we ourselves haven't been using the SL-viewer for a while. We have tried many and have been using Kirsten Lee's viewer for a long time now. But when LL moves to other servers it results in crap too. We have had to lower our settings after the last move. Now my partner is able to do that cos his system is better then mine, but for me it gets to the point that when I need to lower my settings even more I'll have to say goodbye to SL cos I can't lower my settings anymore.

My best SL friend has already past that point and has had to say goodbye to SL for now which sucks big time. First they give you the change to make world wide contact and then they make it impossible to keep in touch cos she lives on the other side of the planet. Besides that she had to do away her sim cos what's the use of keeping a sim if you can't even move on it let alone do anything else.

We have also noticed none of the lindens ever reply to any of the forums so it looks like they don't care which p*sses me off big time. Have the guts to say ye we changed something and things turned out wrong, but hey no they just sit their go ahead picking their noses while some of us loose a part that is making 1st life a bit easier. It's much more then a game to so many of us which is shitty to have to admit but hey I'm not gonna lie about it. I love my computer cos my friends life in it....
