Buying Lindens

Hi all,

i have an interesting problem when buying Lindens.

if i try to buy L$10,000 . . . i get a box pop up saying that Paypal has confirmed that i don't have a payment source for my account (or something very similar) and gives me the option to go to Paypal.

However

i can buy five lots of L$2,000 with no problems.

i have logged into Paypal and everything seems fine there.

any clues on what is going on ?

no idea, but I'm glad to know it wasn't just me. i had the same issue, yet I never thought to try a lower amount. I ended up switching to a different payment source.

I don't have PayPal and have never used the service personally but the $L10,000 may be putting you over a single transaction limit for your account. That amount of Lindens equals about 37 USD........check with PayPal to make sure that is or is not the issue. If it is you might be able to increase that limit.

There is also the possibility that LL and PayPal have an agreement to limit the amount of any single transaction since there have been instances of account theft and people have lost real money. So check with Linden Lab also.

Logged into Paypal and raised my limits. Problem sorted
