Odd SL Glow problem?

Hey Everyone, I just installed two brand new 8800GTOC Alpha Dog Editions, and when I log into SL I get this.

[img=http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/5813/wierdslglowrl8.th.jpg]

Now I know it is caused by the glow, and I have narrowed it down to the shaders, because it goes away if I turn off Basic Shaders.

I am just curious if anyone else has had this problem? And if so, how did you correct it?

I am running the latest Nvidia Drivers 175.16, and running Win Vista Ultimate 64Bit.

TIA.

Well glow is rendered by the shaders to yeah turing off the shaders turns off glow.

And glow DOES look like that if it is turned up too high, nd by "too high" I mean like 1/10th of the way from off to full. It has a range fo like 0 to 1 and anything about like 0.15 turns super hot like that easily.

Were you wearing something with glow on? Or standing behind somthing with glow on? (glow leaks through and affects transparent objects in a strange and amusingly exploitable ways)

I actually have my piercings set with .20 glow and my wings have .20 glow as well. On my old 8600GT I never had this problem, so I am wondering if its due to the 8800GT shader processing.

I didn't think that .20 was very high, so I even went to .10 and then to No glow at all.. Even the .10 had the major overbloom like that.

Odd, huh?
