Since updating my SL software this morning, everybody else's body is invisible. (I can see things attached to them, but not their actual body/clothing.) It's rather annoying. The only time I can see them is if they're right next to my camera position.
I didn't have this problem before updating my Second Life this morning.

I just updated to the latest version of SL and I'm having the same problem...everyone including myself is just floating eyeballs, and thier prim bits...no skin, no non-prim clothing...I was fine before I upgraded..I've since cleared my cache twice, restarted my computer..logged out numerous time..fiddled with the settings...
It's not because my computer can't run the program either, I'm running it on a 3.2 gig dual AMD aAthion with 4 gigs of Ram and a Radeon HD 3870 OEM 775 MHZ 512 MB Vid Card. It's well above specs.
If anyone has any ideas how I can make the game playable again..I would be really happy to hear them.

I think you both are using the release candidate viewer instead of the main viewer. The main viewer has no update available and hasn't for weeks. The RC has one. Try using the regular viewer (1.19. 4 or something like that) and see if you have the same problem. If you are using the RC (1.20.8 or above) that viewer is in the test stage.....call it public beta testing. Bug report the problem...........that's is the main purpose of using that viewer so LL can find the bugs with our help and fix them before releasing as the main viewer. It really was never meant to "replace" the "official" viewer. But, you are free to use it that way if you want......but expect bugs. And help LL out by reporting them via the report bug in the help menu.

Hi  I had exact same problem as you guys.... floating eyeballs and attachement but no body. all you have to do is update your graphic cards drivers, my computer's brand new only one week old but still the graphic card driver was outdated. if you have ATI, jus go to their website and download the new driver and you'll see avies again |

The drivers you get with a new computer or video card are seldom, if ever, the most recent.
