Can someone help me???

I am in FLorida, going thru this Hurricane, and suddenly the power went off for a minute while being on SL having fun with my friends. So immediately I go back, after cable allowed me and SL said no way, you can't signed in.

I uninstalled SL, installed again and gave me a message that I should update my intel chipnet, so I go to the SL website and download from there all what I thought I need, intel chipnet, and reinstall SL and still I get this message.

Of course, being Sunday, nobody at the main technical support to help me. And going thru this hurricane is not fun without SL and my friends.

I am having SL withdrawals... :( What do I do? is there anyone out there that knows something that can help me? I can't live without SL. And I don't want to go back to There and ride buggies for 10 hours....

Help!!!! is there a Technical Linden or someone that knows about all this technical stuff that can help me out there....>>

I have Microsoft Windows XP, Dell Computer

Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
Wireless Network Connection
Pentium R 4CPU 240GHz
2.39 GHz 512MB of RAM

Anyway, I don't know anything about computers, really.... oh well....

Thank so much if you can help....

That error message usually means that the server that converts something domain names like "lindenlab.com" to the actual IP address (In the case of lindenlab.com, 66.150.244.149) is unable to return a proper address.

To find out if that's actually what's going on here, try the following steps.

Click Start > Run
Type "command" (no quotes)
Type "ping userserver.agni.lindenlab.com".

Does it say "Reply from 66.150.244.192: bytes=32 time=32ms TTL=52" or something along those lines? Or does it say "request timed out"?

If it replies, your computer CAN see it, and the problem is something else. If you can't see it, it's likely your ISP.

You have a firewall or something keeping SL from connecting to anywhere. Disable your firewalls, or let SL through them.
